Reporting to the Regional Vice President Mission Integration this position serves the entire Oklahoma region with a special focus on SSM Healths sites of care in Eastern Oklahoma County Pottawatomie County and Seminole County. The Regional Director Mission Integration serves on the leadership teams for St. Anthony Hospital - Midwest and St. Anthony Hospital - Shawnee.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Catholic theology especially the social moral and spiritual tradition and the desire to help those working in Catholic health care to integrate the mission and values of the organization into every interaction with patients families caregivers co-workers and the community at large. This position is responsible for a considerable amount of formation so strong public speaking and facilitation skills are essential. The ideal candidate will also possess the leadership qualities necessary to be successful in a complex organization including strategic thinking business acumen adaptability and agility communication skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects.

Job Summary:
The Regional Director Mission Integration is responsible for integrating SSM Healths Catholic Identity mission and values throughout the Oklahoma region promoting organizational integrity in all dealings and interactions cultivating a values-based organizational culture and uniting people around the organizations heritage as a ministry founded by the Franciscan Sisters of Mary.Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
Primary Responsibilities
Mission Integration
- Imparts the mission values and vision of SSM Health and facilitates the integration of values in all activities
- Works collaboratively with other regional and system Mission Integration staff
- Provides a credible mission perspective on hospital leadership teams and other leadership groups as appropriate
- Facilitates formation experiences for leaders physicians and staff
- Collaborates with other Mission Integration staff to plan Mission Days
- Ensures an organized and active Mission Awareness Team in every entity
- Ensures organization of care for the caregiver in every hospital
- Leads other mission-related activities celebrations and prayers
Ethics and Decision-Making
- Provides support and supervision of Ethics Committees and ensures committee practices reflect best practices
- Supports decision-making processes throughout the ministries in which they serve
- Ensures organizational alignment with the Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Services
Pastoral Care
- Assists in implementation of Pastoral Care strategy
- Supports Pastoral Care staff
- Collaborates with Mission Integration staff across the region on evaluation of services development of Pastoral Care staff and best practices in pastoral care services.
Church Relations
- Collaborates with Regional Ministry Leadership and System Vice President Mission & Ethics in cultivating relationships and communication with local ordinaries
- Leads collaboration with local parishes and faith communities
- Other duties as assigned
Education
- Masters degree in Theology Health Care Mission Ethics or related field
Experience
- Ten years experience in pastoral ministry
- Five years of leadership preferred
- Preferred candidates will have in-depth knowledge of the Catholic Churchs Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Services typically acquired through Catholic Health Care leadership experience formal education mission formation programs and/or significant involvement in Catholic ministry.
