As a Registered Respiratory Therapist youll provide expert respiratory care across a variety of inpatient settings while serving as a trusted clinical resource for physicians nurses patients and families.
- Deliver respiratory treatments and therapies according to physician orders
- Assess patient conditions and recommend appropriate respiratory interventions
- Support physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
- Educate patients and families on respiratory care plans and treatments
- Participate in physician rounds and interdisciplinary care planning
- Document patient care accurately and maintain compliance with regulatory standards
- Operate troubleshoot and maintain respiratory care equipment
- Serve as a clinical resource preceptor and mentor as needed
- Stay current on evidence-based practices and respiratory care advancements
- Graduate of a CoARC-accredited Respiratory Care Program
- Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license meeting state requirements
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Ability to perform physical requirements including lifting pushing pulling and gripping up to 50 pounds
- Strong critical thinking communication and patient advocacy skills
- ACLS certification
- Critical care experience
- PALS certification for therapists working in the Emergency Department
