The job holder must demonstrate current competencies for the job ResponsibilitiesMinimum of one year customer service experience in a health care setting. Mammography experience preferred. Graduate from an accredited X-ray Technologists : American Registry of Radiology Technologist (ARRT) registration State license requiredCurrent CPR patients for radiology procedures. Takes radiographs following established procedures for patient care and safety. Maintains high quality/quantity a variety of radiation protection and shielding materials. Complies with all policies regarding safety infection control and universal contrast equipment is in working order. Reports malfunction to radiology procedures completed. Processes related paperwork using computer equipment as procedure room. Stocks necessary medical and radiology supplies. Perform light cleaning on procedure X-Rays in a digital format and sends them via PACS System to the Radiologist for may be asked to cross train in other specialty phone computer and copier skills certifications/registries ARRT status and TN state license in good keep continuing education credits :Knowledge of x-ray procedures and of anatomy and physiology necessary to perform x-ray testing including body mechanics and of radiology equipment including safety hazards common to :Skill in positioning patients in identifying equipment problems and correcting or notifying :Ability to apply written instructions and standardized work to communicate to establish and maintain effective relationships with staff patients and Conditions/Physical RequirementsAbility to apply written instructions and standardized work to communicate to establish and maintain effective relationships with staff patients and CONDITIONS:Exposure to radiation communicable diseases and other conditions common to a Radiology Demands:Must be able to lift 25 pounds and push and pull several hundred poundsEnvironment can be very busy and stressfulContact may involve dealing with angry or upset peopleWork may require hand dexterity for Radiology equipment stooping and bending to position patients and retrieve suppliesMust have mobility to room patients help patients onto table complete errands.
