We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures in a clinical setting. This role involves producing high-quality radiographic images while ensuring patient safety comfort and adherence to radiation safety protocols.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in patient positioning radiographic equipment operation and digital imaging with a strong focus on delivering compassionate and efficient patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Imaging & Patient Care
Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations with minimal supervision
Position patients accurately and select appropriate technical factors
Utilize immobilization devices when necessary
Perform portable X-ray exams in patient rooms operating rooms and emergency departments
Assist patients with mobility including transferring and positioning
Radiation Safety & Compliance
Ensure proper radiation protection using collimation and shielding techniques
Follow protocols to minimize unnecessary radiation exposure
Adhere to organizational and regulatory standards
Equipment & Imaging Management
Operate and maintain radiographic imaging equipment
Process and manage digital imaging and film identification
Ensure accurate labeling and documentation of all imaging studies
Administrative & Support Duties
Complete patient requisitions and maintain accurate records
Assist with scheduling patient instructions and front-desk coordination
Maintain cleanliness and organization of imaging rooms
Support physicians with contrast media preparation and procedures
Patient-Centered Care
Provide compassionate care tailored to patient needs including:
Age-specific considerations
Cultural and communication needs
Communicate effectively with patients families and caregivers
Requirements
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent
Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
Completion of clinical training and registry requirements
Certifications & Licensure
Active New Jersey State Radiologic Technologist License
ARRT Certification (required)
Experience
Minimum 2 years of radiology/X-ray experience
Required Skills
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in operating radiographic imaging equipment
Strong knowledge of:
Patient positioning
Radiation safety protocols
Digital imaging systems
Soft Skills:
Clear communication and interpersonal skills
