Position Overview
This position is responsible for conducting laboratory testing and quality analysis to ensure purchased raw materials intermediates and finished products meet established quality standards. The role also supports troubleshooting of plant quality issues while maintaining compliance with laboratory safety and quality procedures.

Key Responsibilities
Quality Control & Laboratory Testing
Perform Quality Control procedures and accurately record test results.
Conduct routine laboratory analysis using established QC procedures.
Analyze raw materials intermediates and finished products.
Approve or reject materials based on inspection plan requirements.
Assist in troubleshooting plant quality issues.
Perform environmental sample testing for TOC pH and COD.
Generate physical property data and perform routine analysis on field and R&D samples.
Laboratory Equipment & Instrumentation
Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation including:
Densitometer
NMR
ICP
GC
GPC
FTIR
Auto-titrator
Perform reagent standardization and equipment calibration.
Maintain detailed records and trend/control charts.
Documentation & Compliance
Apply Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
Record and file all raw test data accurately.
Maintain sample labeling requirements.
Communicate results and product dispositions to Production QA and Supervisors.
Maintain laboratory cleanliness and organization.
Follow all safety health and environmental policies.
Inventory & Support
Monitor inventory levels of chemicals reagents and lab supplies.
Assist in maintaining operational readiness of the laboratory.
Support special projects assigned by management.
Coordinate with QA Management Manufacturing and R&D teams.
Required Qualifications
Associate degree in Chemistry or related technical field OR coursework toward an associate degree in Chemistry or related field.
Ability to speak read and write English.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to lift/carry up to 20 pounds.
Must pass employer/customer drug screening.
Must reside within 50 miles of Freeport TX.
No immigration sponsorship available.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Chemistry or related technical field.
Industrial laboratory experience.
Basic SAP knowledge.
Intermediate Microsoft Excel and database skills.
Knowledge of laboratory and chemical safety practices.
