Role: Quality Engineers (ETL and API)

Duration: 4 6 months (extension possible but not guaranteed)

Location: Remote (ETS hours)

Ideal Candidate Summary

• Senior QA engineer with strong ETL API testing experience
• Comfortable working in data transformation environments
• Able to hit the ground running with minimal ramp-up

• Automation experience is a bonus not a requirement

Job Summary:

The team is seeking a Senior-level QA / Quality Engineer with strong experience in ETL and API testing. While this is not strictly an automation role candidates must have a solid understanding of data processing transformations and system flows. This individual should be able to quickly ramp up work independently and contribute immediately in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

Perform end-to-end testing across:

• ETL processes (data extraction transformation and loading)
• APIs and system integrations
• Validate data movement and transformations between systems (e.g. API database)
• Understand and test critical API workflows even if not directly automating them
• Identify and troubleshoot issues across systems by collaborating with:
• Business Analysts (BAs)
• Developers
• Take a proactive approach to problem-solving and issue resolution
• Contribute within an Agile environment (2-week sprint cycles)

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong Quality Engineering / QA testing experience (Senior-level)

Hands-on experience with:

• ETL/Data validation testing
• API testing and understanding API flows
• Ability to understand data processing and transformation logic

Proven ability to:

• Ramp up quickly
• Work independently with minimal guidance
• Communicate effectively across cross-functional teams
• Strong collaboration and communication skills (working with BAs developers testers)

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with test automation (not required but a strong plus)
• Exposure to automation frameworks or tools
• Experience working in data-heavy or integration-heavy environments
• Soft Skills / Candidate Profile

• Comfortable asking questions and engaging stakeholders
• Strong team player mindset
• Positive attitude with a willingness to go above and beyond
• Able to independently coordinate with developers and BAs when needed

Team & Environment

• Agile team structure with 2-week sprint cycles
• Regular collaboration with BAs developers and other QA resources
• Increasing scope of work; this role will help fill a gap left by an internal team transition
