JOB TITLE: Quality Engineer
LOCATION: Sunnyvale CA
PAY RATE: $48/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

• Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

• Clearance: Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance and possess an Interim Secret Clearance prior to start.

Summary:

• Apply quality engineering principles across design incoming materials production control product evaluation reliability inventory control and R&D activities for make and buy products.

• Perform technical evaluations of product requirements specifications engineering drawings procedures and models/designs.

• Collaborate with program management engineering manufacturing supply chain and customers to resolve quality-related issues and ensure standards are met.

• Lead and support product failure investigations Material Review Board (MRB) activities and corrective/preventive action implementation.

• Ensure corrective actions meet reliability compliance and quality requirements.

• Develop and implement strategies to improve internal operations and supplier quality performance.

• Evaluate supplier and internal quality systems to identify deficiencies and implement improvements.

• Design and analyze inspection and testing processes methods and equipment to improve quality outcomes.

• Conduct product quality testing and statistical analysis to identify and resolve non-conformance issues.

• Support supplier selection processes and maintain supplier certification programs.

• Work within ERP systems (including SAP/Procure-to-Pay environments) to support quality and supply chain activities.

• Travel to supplier and operational sites as needed to support quality initiatives.

Requirements:

• Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance and possess an Interim Secret Clearance prior to start.

• Experience with SAP and/or Procure-to-Pay systems.

• Background in one or more of the following disciplines:

  • Quality Engineering

  • Systems Engineering

  • Materials & Process Engineering

  • Mechanical Engineering

  • Manufacturing Engineering

• Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Willingness and ability to travel to multiple sites as needed.

• Must be a U.S. citizen to comply with security clearance requirements.
