Job Summary
Role - Quality Engineer
Job type - Regular Full Time
Location - Shelby Township MI US
Education
- Bachelors Degree in Quality Engineering Mechanical Engineering Manufacturing Engineering Industrial Engineering or related technical field preferred
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered
Experience
- 3-5 years of Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with APQP PPAP FMEA Control Plans MSA and SPC methodologies
- Experience supporting new product launches and customer quality requirements
- Experience performing internal supplier and process audits
- Experience leading corrective actions using 8D 5 Why Fishbone or similar root cause methodologies
- Experience working directly with customers and suppliers to resolve quality concerns
- Automotive manufacturing experience strongly preferred
- Experience with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 quality systems preferred
Technical Skills
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
- Knowledge of metrology equipment including calipers micrometers height gauges CMMs and attribute gauges
- Understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysis
- Experience with gauge calibration systems and measurement system analysis (MSA)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and quality reporting tools
- Knowledge of engineering change processes and document control systems
