EssentialResponsibilities:
Perform daily QC tests for production batches and incoming raw materials per established test procedures and work instructions accurately andtimelyto meet delivery commitment
Develop batch adjustments to meet Hempel quality standards
Testing and approval of production batches to ensure proper color match
Promptly document color data
Update batch status and enter resultsinto softwareas
Communicate and update production staff on the status of batches
Maintain and store color draw downs in database
Preparetimelydocumentation of quality tests data andretainedsample record and QC database entry while ensuring accuracy
Assistto ensure lab test samples and chemicals are kept in stock (etc. solventscuresand bases)
Conduct consistent quality checks during production and filling of batches
Testing approval of incoming bulk shipments of raw material
Demonstrate good housekeeping and maintenance of laboratory and equipment.
Assistin technical evaluation of nonconforming batches and customer complaints
Adhere to all safety rules and regulations
Assistin fulfilling sales requests
Perform basic troubleshooting and problem solving
Attention to batch ticket details
Execute industrial hygiene practices
Ability to manage time
Minimum Qualifications:
HS Diploma
MS Office applications (Outlook Excel)
Organizational skills
Working knowledge of basic chemistry and algebra
Minimum 1 year of analytical lab or paint experience
Understand of lab equipment including setting and calibration
English languageproficiency
Normal color visionfor color testing
ERP system experience and color-matching softwarepreferred
Ability tooperatein a cross-functional atmosphere

Work Environment:

This position requires the ability to work in a laboratory environment which can include solventsdustand other chemicals. This position requires the employee to be able to perform normal physicallaborin relation to the laboratory manufacture and application of coatings samples. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate general office environment. Occasional duties in high noise areas requiringhearprotection is.

While performing the duties of this Job the employeeis regularly required tosit; use hands to handle or feel and talk or hear. The employee isfrequentlyrequired to reach with hands and arms and occasional lifting of containers up to 50 lbs. the ability to wear PPE as required and the ability to stand up to2 hourperiods.
