Location: Remote/Hybrid (Candidates must be WI resident or willing to relocate to WI prior to starting the role at their own expense. Hybrid role with 1 day in office in Madison WI PER WEEK.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Analyst I to join a collaborative web application development this role you will be responsible for validating application functionality testing user stories against acceptance criteria and ensuring a consistent high-quality user experience across web-based applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on QA testing experience strong analytical skills experience working within Agile Scrum teams and the ability to communicate testing results clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review evaluate and test user stories to ensure all acceptance criteria are met.
- Partner closely with developers business analysts and project stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Perform functional integration regression and user interface testing on web applications.
- Validate application functionality and user experience consistency across features and releases.
- Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning story refinement estimation daily standups reviews and retrospectives.
- Document testing results and provide clear actionable feedback to the development team.
- Identify document and track defects through resolution.
- Use SQL queries to verify data integrity validate calculations and confirm system processing results.
- Support continuous improvement efforts related to quality assurance processes and methodologies.
- Demonstrate professionalism teamwork and a customer-focused approach in all interactions.
Required Qualifications:
- 3 years of quality assurance testing experience in a software development environment.
- 3 years of experience with quality assurance methodologies testing techniques and best practices.
- 3 years of experience working within Agile Scrum development teams.
- 3 years of experience using Azure DevOps or a similar Agile project management and work-tracking tool.
- 3 years of experience using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) including writing SQL queries and validating database results.
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience testing web-based applications.
- Experience with technical writing and documentation.
- Ability to quickly learn existing business processes and application functionality.
- Proven track record of providing clear concise defect documentation and testing feedback.
Desired Skills:
- User story and acceptance criteria validation.
- Functional and regression testing.
- Agile Scrum methodologies and practices.
- Azure DevOps (or similar platform).
- SQL query development and data validation.
