Job Summary

Summary:

  • The Quality Assurance Analyst II is responsible for applying Quality Assurance and Release Management principles to test application changes updates and enhancements. This role collaborates with Clinical Revenue Cycle Technical Leaders Project Managers and Analysts to ensure system quality and reliability. The analyst develops evaluates revises and documents QA processes testing methodologies and release management procedures to support successful implementation integration and deployment of information systems applications.

Required Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Information Systems Computer Science Healthcare Information Technology or a related field; OR
  • Four (4) years of related IT or operational experience in a healthcare environment.


Experience:

  • Minimum of 23 years of progressive healthcare IT or healthcare operations experience.
  • Experience managing QA efforts for large enterprise-wide software implementations.
  • Demonstrated experience with application testing workflow analysis and release management processes.
  • Working knowledge of integrated healthcare information systems.


Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies testing frameworks and release management practices.
  • Knowledge of healthcare information systems and workflows.
  • Strong project management communication and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage medium-complexity QA initiatives independently.
  • Working knowledge of information technology systems applications operations and support processes.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Epic application certification or proficiency.
  • Experience supporting Epic-related testing and implementation efforts.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Epic Application Certification/Proficiency (Preferred).




Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance & Testing

  • Develop execute evaluate and maintain test plans test scripts and QA processes.
  • Conduct integrated regression and application testing for updates upgrades enhancements and third-party software implementations.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve testing efficiency through workflow analysis and system knowledge.
  • Perform gap analysis and provide recommendations for process improvements.
  • Evaluate the need for new test scripts and modify existing scripts as necessary.
  • Troubleshoot testing issues independently and provide timely resolutions.

Release Management

  • Develop audit monitor and enforce release management processes and policies.
  • Ensure cross-domain configuration integration testing completeness consistency and deployment readiness.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned QA and release management processes.
  • Coordinate with external vendors to resolve issues and manage implementation activities.

Project & Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate effectively across teams and project boundaries.
  • Provide oversight and project management for assigned QA initiatives.
  • Represent stakeholder needs and expectations during complex system updates and enhancements.
  • Deliver clear organized status reports and communications to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Escalate issues appropriately when timelines or vendor responsiveness become concerns.

Process Improvement & Leadership

  • Identify practical solutions to process and system challenges.
  • Contribute to strategic discussions by evaluating options risks and benefits.
  • Facilitate timely decision-making and exercise sound judgment when information is incomplete.
  • Provide oversight feedback and mentorship to team members.
  • Assist in onboarding and training new team members on QA processes and best practices.
  • Maintain high standards of quality and accountability for both individual and team deliverables.

  • Demonstrate continuous learning and subject matter expertise in QA methodologies and healthcare workflows.
  • Regularly utilize training materials knowledge resources and documentation.
