QA Tester

The Quality Assurance Tester under general supervision from the Team Lead will execute and evaluate software tests architecture and security for the Landmark Drilling suite of applications.

Knowledge skills & experience required:

• Bachelor or Master Degree from a recognized university in petroleum engineering or equivalent degree with minimum GPA 7.5 and above
• Min 2 yrs. of QA experience (Experience with Oil and Gas Upstream applications preferred)
• Good understanding of upstream applications. (Preferred: EDT Applications)
• Knowledge of one or more of the basic wells engineering concepts including:
  • Well construction drilling techniques well control fluids property management drilling mechanics performance monitoring
  • Well completions completion designs well performance analysis
• Experience with engineering applications such as WellCat Wellplan Compass will be an advantage.
• Basic understanding of Framework creation using any of the Automation tool.
• Experience with SDLC/STLC processes and complete understanding of various testing types viz Smoke Functional Integration Performance Regression and User Acceptance Testing etc.
• ISTQB foundation level certified (Optional)
• Well versed with Test Case creation Defect and Test Management tool (Azure DevOps/TFS JIRA)
• Comfortable with Agile methodologies
• Excellent Communication Skills

Job Role Responsibilities:

• Provide engineering support in drilling and completions area to DWP team.
• Provide an objective assessment of Product Quality
• Contribute as an active Software Tester on the Team to deliver product stories
• Develop Test Cases based on Test Objectives and Acceptance Criteria
• Write comprehensive Test Cases to verify Product functionality
• Contribute during Sprint Planning to ensure all Testing concerns are discussed and accommodated in the story sizing
• Work with Subject Matter Experts to identify and define key End User Workflows
• Define create and maintain Test environments
• Validate Functionality according to Requirements/Stories
• Verify Development changes have no undesired effect on other associated areas of Functionality
• Identify communicate and document Bugs in a consistent fashion
• Track Bugs through resolution and implementation
• Verify Bugs are resolved according to Bug Definition
