Job Summary

Work Year: 195 days

Duties: The school psychologist will work collaboratively with other school staff to address the academic social emotional and behavioral needs of students in the William S. Hart Union High School District. Specific duties include:

  • Conducting psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students needs and inform interventions
  • Providing individual and group counseling to students to address a range of concerns including academic struggles mental health issues and behavioral challenges
  • Consulting with teachers parents and administrators to develop effective interventions and support plans
  • Conducting workshops and trainings for staff and parents on topics such as behavior management and mental health awareness
  • Participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to help develop appropriate goals and accommodations for students with disabilities
  • Collaborating with community resources to provide support for students and families as needed.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate for this position should possess:

  • A Masters degree or higher in School Psychology or a related field
  • A valid California Pupil Personnel Services Credential with a School Psychology Authorization
  • Knowledge of psychological assessment techniques and evidence-based interventions for a range of academic social emotional and behavioral needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students families and school staff
  • Familiarity with special education law and the IEP process
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
