Job Summary

Position Overview

Covered California is seeking qualified Project Management Consultants to join a pre-approved consulting pool supporting a broad range of projects and organizational objectives. Consultants will provide specialized project management expertise and additional capacity to complement Covered Californias internal staff.

The consulting pool will include professionals with expertise in Agile Delivery Scrum Master services and Project Management. Consultants may be engaged for different projects based on their qualifications experience and the specific needs of Covered California.

Key Responsibilities
Project Management
  • Provide professional project management services for assigned Covered California projects.
  • Support project planning coordination execution monitoring and delivery.
  • Manage project activities in accordance with established objectives timelines and requirements.
  • Coordinate with Covered California staff and project stakeholders.
  • Provide project management expertise and additional capacity when required.
  • Support changing project objectives priorities and organizational needs.
Agile Delivery
  • Apply Agile methodologies to support project delivery.
  • Facilitate Agile project planning and execution.
  • Support teams in adopting and maintaining effective Agile practices.
  • Help project teams manage priorities deliverables and project objectives.
Scrum Master Services
  • Serve as a Scrum Master for assigned Agile teams when required.
  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies and team meetings.
  • Support effective collaboration among team members and stakeholders.
  • Help teams identify and address impediments affecting project progress.
  • Promote adherence to Agile and Scrum practices.
Stakeholder & Team Coordination
  • Work collaboratively with Covered California personnel and project stakeholders.
  • Facilitate communication between project teams and stakeholders.
  • Provide status information and project updates as required.
  • Help ensure project activities remain aligned with organizational objectives.
Required Areas of Expertise

Candidates should have demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following areas:

  • Agile Delivery
  • Scrum Master Services
  • Project Management
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated professional experience in project management.
  • Experience providing project management services in an organizational or consulting environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies for candidates providing Agile services.
  • Scrum Master experience for candidates providing Scrum Master services.
  • Ability to work effectively with project teams stakeholders and organizational personnel.
  • Ability to provide specialized project management expertise based on individual project requirements.
Engagement

Successful consultants will become part of Covered Californias pre-approved Project Management Consulting Pool. Individual consultants or organizations may be utilized for various projects based on Covered Californias needs and the consultants specialized expertise.
