We are seeking a Project Engineer for our First Quality Home Care Products LLC company located in Salt Lake City UT. This position will be responsible for planning coordinating and executing engineering projects that improve manufacturing processes equipment and facility operations. This role ensures projects are delivered safely on time within budget and aligned with business objectives.
Primary responsibilities include:
Lead manufacturing capital and continuous improvement projects from concept through implementation
Develop project scopes timelines budgets and resource plans
Partner with Operations Quality Maintenance Safety Supply Chain and leadership to align projects with business goals
Oversee equipment installation upgrades and commissioning
Manage contractors engineering firms and equipment vendors
Analyze production processes to improve efficiency quality and cost performance
Manage contractors vendors and external partners
Oversee equipment specification procurement installation and commissioning
Ensure compliance with safety environmental and regulatory standards
Prepare technical documentation reports and presentations
The ideal candidate should possess the following:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Industrial Chemical Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field) or equivalent combination of technical education and experience
37 years of experience in manufacturing chemical/process or industrial engineering environment
Experience managing capital projects and budgets
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes lean principles and continuous improvement tools
Proficiency in project management software and CAD systems (preferred)
Excellent communication organizational and leadership skills
Ability to adapt to changing/growing processes
Ability to support in responsibilities outside the defined role/title
Experience with automation process optimization or equipment validation
Familiarity with GMP or regulated manufacturing environments
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
