Project Accounting Specialist 1

We are currently seeking aTurnaround Project Accountantresponsible fora variety of accounting duties in a routine and recurring nature. Positions typically involve performance of time entry per diem allotment check distribution third party allocation purchasing responsibilities and invoicing of client. The Position will require a working familiarity with general accounting functions and standard operating procedures in the Piping Mechanical and Construction Industries.

Completes project setup for a variety of project types (LS T&M Unit Rate)

Accurately balance timesheets and data entry of employees time daily into systems.

Perform complete payroll process for the business unit.

Primary point of contact for employees and site managers questions with regards to time/pay policies and guidelines.

Generates invoices and supports the billing submittal process to include preparation of backup documentation and submittal into WEB based systems.

Must be a critical thinker and able to develop solutions of their own to solve problems.

Ability to purchase construction materials as needed for a job site.

Must be able to track ongoing cost of projects through multiple/reporting methods.

Completes client reporting such as cost reports daily headcounts etc.

Comprehension and understanding of the client contract pertinent to the job assignment.

Other duties as assigned.

Ability to supervise and delegate other workers in a field setting.

Must be able to accept instructions/delegation and perform in a fast paced high-pressure setting.

Must be able to use discretionary authority while working.

Must possess a valid state issued drivers license and a clear motor vehicle driving record.

Must be able to clear a national criminal background check.

Must pass the initial drug screen and random screens thereafter.

Good communication and interpersonal skills required.

Must possess excellent computer skills in all MS Suite applications.

Detail orientated work requires a high degree of confidentiality.

Require thorough knowledge of standard JVIC office practices and procedures.

Requires thorough knowledge of all office machines and equipment.

Must be able to pass an advanced Skills Assessment test issued at initial interview.

Must have the ability to lift and transport up to 45 lbs.

Must be willing to travel.

Should have knowledge of client systems; Track Ariba CMDS etc.

College graduate with a bachelors degree from a state accredited university in either Business Administration or Accounting preferred. or

Five (5)plus years working experience in a Project Accounting/Administrative position within the Piping Mechanical or Construction Industries.
