- Office Of Juvenile JusticeSwanson Center for Youth-Monroe4701 S Grand St. Monroe LA 71202Office of Juvenile Justice is seeking a skilled compassionate Professional Counselor 6 to provide advanced therapeutic services within the Juveniles Understanding & Managing their Problems (JUMP) program. This role is ideal for a licensed mental health professional who excels in structured treatment clinical assessment and collaborative teamwork.
As a Professional Counselor 6 youll deliver evidence-based interventions support youth through individualized and group treatment and contribute to a multidisciplinary approach that promotes accountability emotional growth and long-term behavioral change. Youll maintain high clinical standards uphold professional ethics and help guide both youth and staff through consistent therapeutic practices.

Minimum QualificationsPossession of a current Louisiana license to practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) plus four years of licensed counseling experience.

Job Duties and Other InformationJob Duties:Provides intensive clinical treatment conducts weekly individual therapy facilitates phase-specific CBT groups and delivers monthly family sessions for youth in the JUMP program.
Facilitates specialized treatment groups leads structured groups across all phases including Social Skills Impulse Control Healthy Masculinity Healthy Sexuality Anger Management Empathy and Relapse Prevention.
Conducts assessments and treatment planning completes behavioral analyses updates IIPs participates in interdisciplinary staffing and ensures treatment plans reflect CBT-based interventions.
Manages documentation and case records maintains accurate physical and electronic records submits clinical documentation within required timelines and prepares reports for courts and referral agencies.
Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams works closely with clinical supervisors case managers security staff medical/mental health providers and educational personnel to support youth progress.
Provides supervision and staff development completes CPM evaluations counsels subordinates ensures timely timekeeping and consults with Social Worker 7 on personnel actions.
Maintains professional standards meets CEU requirements maintains licensure attends required trainings and follows agency policies and communication standards.
