Minimum Qualifications

Possession of a current Louisiana license to practice as a Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) or a Provisional Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (PLMFT).

Job Duties and Other Information

Job Duties:

  • Conduct comprehensive substance abuse assessments for individuals referred by DCFS.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings an client needs.
  • Collaborate with community agencies and service providers to ensure clients receive ongoing support and continuity of care.
  • Maintain accurate client data and prepare monthly and annual reports required by DCFS.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case staffing to coordinate comprehensive client care.
  • Provide case management services by coordinating referrals and connecting clients with community resources and ancillary/recovery support services.
  • Educate clients and their families about addiction recovery relapse prevention and available community resources.
  • Coordinate with administrative support staff to reschedule appointments for clients who missed scheduled visits.
  • Complete clinical assessments treatment documentation progress notes and other required records in a timely and accurate manner.

Position-Specific Details:
Appointment Type:Probational or Job Appointment.

Location:Capital Area Human Services Districts Addiction Recovery Services (ARS).

Work Schedule:9 hours per day Monday - Thursday and 4 hours on Friday.
Career Progression: This position may be filled as a Professional Counselor 1 2 3 or 4 depending on the level of experience of the selected applicant(s).
Compensation:The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
  • The maximum salary for the Social Worker 4 is $86070.00annually.

  • Note regarding the advertised pay range:The advertised maximum amount listed is the maximum salary a person can make while in this title/level over their career and not the maximum amount we are allowed to pay a new hire.
