Job Summary
Production Supervisor 2nd Shift Manchester Iowa
Transparent Search Group is conducting a search on behalf of a manufacturing client based in Manchester Iowa. This is an on-site 2nd shift supervisory role suited for an experienced production professional who is local to the area or already planning a move to Iowa. Candidates outside this geography will not be considered at this time.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and direct production floor employees during the 2nd shift to meet daily output and quality targets
- Monitor workflow staffing levels and equipment utilization to ensure operational efficiency
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards
- Identify and address production bottlenecks equipment issues and personnel concerns in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate shift records including production logs downtime reports and employee attendance
- Coordinate with maintenance quality and day-shift supervision to support continuity of operations
- Provide coaching performance feedback and on-the-job training to production staff
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience in a supervisory capacity
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop hourly production teams
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes safety standards and quality control practices
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency with basic production reporting and scheduling tools
- High school diploma required; associate or bachelors degree in a related field is a plus
