Job Summary

IKO is a global leader in manufacturing roofing products with production facilities worldwide. Weare currently seeking aProduction Manager to join our team of skilled professionals based at our Bismarck Missouri plant. This plant produces granules for our shingle plants in a high speed continuous asphalt shingle manufacturing process environment

Job Responsibilities

  • Providing leadership and coaching to production supervisors and employees to meet all safety environmental quality cost and service goals and objectives.

  • Partnering with the Quality Control Coordinator to ensure that finished product meets all customer requirements through continuous improvement andutilizationof the plant quality management system.

  • Partnering with the Maintenance Manager to ensure equipment reliability atoptimalefficiency and cost.

  • Providing leadership and support to the overall reliabilitystrategyincluding the involvement of production employees in TPM.

  • Partner with the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor toensureoptimization of the manufacturing schedule and adjust as necessary to provide required levels of service to our customers in the most cost-effective manner.

  • Providingleadershiptomaintaina highly engaged workforce. Partners with HR in areas of performance management employee involvement organizational changestaffingand employee development.

  • Providing leadership to drive continuous improvement through the application of methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing TPM Six Sigma 5S working directly with the production and maintenance teams.

  • Assuring employee training (Safety Quality Process) is effective andcomplete.

  • Mentoring immediate direct reports andestablishingan effective team that is accountable and capable of achieving all performance goals.

  • Assuring plant housekeeping meets company standards implements andmaintainsa 5S program to sustain improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelorsdegree is a plus; relevant work experience will also be considered.

  • Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment

  • Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt certification a plus

  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills

  • Demonstrated experience with continuous improvement initiatives including Lean Manufacturing

  • Proficient with MS Excel Word PowerPoint

  • Proven history of operational enhancement and improvements through employee engagement

  • Excellent communication (written verbal and presentation) skills.

  • Demonstrated team-building talent and firsthand critical thinking skills.

  • Ability to achieve results individually and as a member of a team.
