Reporting to the Process Manager you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the sodium chlorate process. As part of the operations team you are responsible for working effectively with shift members in order to ensure safe plant operation and maximum equipment performance while minimizing downtime and production loss. The starting hourly rate is $23.71 with an advancement to $ shift will be based on a 12-hour rotating schedule. This position is overtime Role: Operates the following process systems and equipment including but not limited to:For all equipment and processes operated takes corrective action when necessary to maintain operation within acceptable operating limits as described in the operations procedures and the process controls observes and records voltages flows temperatures levels pressures etc. pertaining to equipment for inspection or repairs by isolating draining degassing and testing equipment for chemicals or flammable gasses and preparing work permits and lockouts before releasing for mobile equipment including fork truck and railcar moverDirects the unloading salt trucks and monitors salt handling equipmentPerforms various start-up and shutdown minor repairs to auxiliary equipment such as: changing fittings hoses repairing leaks tightening packings plant housekeeping and safety standardsParticipates in inspection and observation programs as indicated by management site safety committee and Person: Education: High School degree or aboveBasic understanding of manufacturing in industries such as chemical pulp and paper and food processingBasic understanding of mechanical and electrical equipmentSomeone who is safety-orientedBasic computer skillsTeamwork and interpersonal skills to work in a self-directed work groupWork experience to show the ability to be a reliable team memberAbility to work outdoors stand for shift lift & climb stairsMust pass pre-hire physical & drug screenThe Value You Bring:Strong health and safety mindsetStrong relationship builder collaborative team-builder Focused and results driven transparent and articulate Drives continuous improvement Resilient can adapt to changing environments/technologyProactive takes initiative creative stays ahead of the curve enthusiastic inspirational What youll love about us!Competitive Benefits:We take pride in providing our employees with a competitive compensation package to help promote your wellbeing and that of your family.
