Position Overview

At Shaw Industrieswereredefining what operational excellence looks like in a design-driven manufacturing environment. Our Custom Design Studio (Plant 94) is seeking aProcess Improvement Engineerto help build and scale a high-impact continuous improvement system that supportstrainingsafety quality and innovation across the entire operation.

This is a highly cross-functional role-ideal for someone who enjoys connecting systems people and processes to drive meaningful change.

Responsibilities:

Drive Operational Excellence

  • Build and lead aplant-wide continuous improvement (CI) pipelinealigned to business priorities

  • Lead a steady stream of process improvements and personallylead tothe highest impact initiatives by using structured problem solving observations time studies and data analysis.

  • Establish and manage theoperational excellence cadence(intake prioritization execution sustainment)

  • Ensure improvements stick throughstandard work training and system integration

Own Safety & Compliance Systems

  • Ownandmaintainthe plantssafety and compliance programs

  • Drive proactive safety initiatives includingaudits walkthroughs and root cause investigations

  • Translate safety insights intoprocess improvements and risk reduction strategies

  • Ensure ongoingregulatory compliance and audit readiness

Enable Training & High-Performance Teams

  • Design and continuously improve aplant-wide training system

  • Partner with functional leaders (manufacturing design estimating) toidentifyskill gaps and training needs

  • Ensure alignment betweenprocess changes and training execution

  • Support aHigh-Performance Team (HPT)environment through role clarity and cross-training

Connect Systems Data & Decisions

  • Serve as a data championbydevelopingdashboards and reporting tools to improve visibility and execution

  • Supportcost analysis savings tracking and budget optimization efforts

  • Partner across teams to improvesystem connectivity and workflow efficiency

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree (Industrial Engineering Operations Safety or related field preferred)

  • Experience leadingprocess improvement or continuous improvement initiativesin a manufacturing or operational environment

  • StrongproficiencyinMicrosoft Excel and data analysis tools

Preferred:

  • Experience withsafety compliance training systems or operational programs

  • Familiarity withLean Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability toinfluence cross-functional teams without direct authority
