Job Summary

Have you ever discovered a product through a creator you follow on social media then bought it on Amazon Do you wonder how brands find the right creators to partner with at scale

We are building a new social advertising product that helps brands find customers on social media apps through creators. As the Principal PMT for this new product you will own the product vision strategy and roadmap. Youll define how brands discover high-affinity creators how campaigns get activated how creators get compensated and how the whole system integrates with Amazons existing advertising products (DSP Sponsored Products Sponsored Brands and Creator Ads). You need to be fluent in both worlds: how creators build audiences and monetize content on social platforms AND how brands evaluate and buy media programmatically.

This is a 0-to-1 role. You would be building a new product from the ground up working backwards from what brands and creators need to define how the product serves both customers and how it goes to market. If you have built creator tools advertising products or multi-sided marketplaces and especially if you have done more than one of those we want to talk.

Key job responsibilities
As a Principal Product Manager-Technical for this new product you will be responsible for building a new product at the intersection of the creator economy and advertising technology. To thrive in this role you will need to demonstrate:
- Bilateral Fluency: You understand both sides of the marketplace: how creators build audiences create content and monetize on social platforms (TikTok Instagram YouTube) AND how brands evaluate buy and measure media programmatically. You can context-switch between a conversation about creator authenticity and one about ROAS measurement without losing either thread.
- 0-to-1 Builder Instinct: You are an expert at evaluating whether to take a scrappy approach or spend the time to build a durable solution. Every wrong call here costs precious time. You have a track record of getting this right consistently in ambiguous early-stage environments where there is no playbook to follow.
- Cross-Org Influence: This product delivers most of its value through other teams systems. You will do significant away-team work in Ads Associates and external platform integrations. You earn trust from day one and maintain it through hard conversations where you push partner teams to do things they would not otherwise prioritize.
- Data-Grounded Conviction: You use data to form strong opinions state them clearly and update them when evidence warrants. You do not hedge conclusions the data supports and you do not overstate conclusions it does not.
- Technical Depth: You can engage meaningfully with scientists on matching algorithms with engineers on API design and with ads teams on DSP integration architecture. You do not need to write the code but you need to understand the tradeoffs well enough to make product decisions that are technically sound.

A day in the life
You start the morning reviewing creator-brand match quality metrics and slates of individual creators from yesterdays pilot cohort. A brand partner wants to understand why certain creators rank high for their category. You pull the attribution data and walk them through the quantitative signal: which creators are driving conversions for their brand at what volume and how that compares to their managed roster. You then shift to qualitative evaluation of the creators content audience fit and brand alignment. Mid-morning youre in a working session with the science team debating whether to weight recent conversion velocity or lifetime brand affinity more heavily in the matching algorithm. After lunch youre drafting the integration spec for how campaigns for this new product will surface inside the DSP console negotiating scope with the Ads PM who owns that surface. By end of day youre reviewing creator compensation scenarios with the Associates team making sure the economics work for the brand (willing to pay) the creator (worth their time) and Amazon (sustainable margin).

About the team
The team is a small group of applied scientists and engineers. We work across Amazons creator ecosystem (Associates Influencer Program Creator Connections) and ads platform to build something that blends the best parts of both worlds. You would be joining at the stage where there is a solid data hypothesis and brand demand but the core product decisions are yours to guide.

- 2 years of end to end product delivery experience
- 8 years of technical product or program management experience
- Bachelors degree
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience leading engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience technical product management
- Experience in understanding performance metrics and developing them to measure progress against key performance indicators
- 5 years working in at least one of: creator/influencer platforms social commerce or affiliate marketing
- Familiarity with at least one programmatic advertising platform (e.g. Amazon DSP Google DV360 The Trade Desk Meta Ads Manager)
- Experience launching products in multi-sided marketplaces

- Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements
- Experience in project management methodologies business analysis or process improvement
- Direct experience in BOTH creator/social platforms AND advertising technology (the bilateral intersection is what makes this role unique)
- Experience at a social platform (TikTok Meta/Instagram YouTube Pinterest) or creator economy company (LTK Impact CreatorIQ Grin)
- Hands-on experience managing campaigns or building features within a programmatic advertising platform (not just familiarity)
- Track record of taking a product from 0-to-1 (not just optimizing an existing product at scale)
- Familiarity with affiliate marketing economics and creator compensation models
