At Elucid the platform you build sits underneath AI that helps cardiologists identify dangerous plaque before a patient has a heart attack. Your architecture choices your deployment pipelines are part of technology that is actively changing how cardiovascular disease is diagnosed and treated. Were looking for a Principal Platform Engineer with deep AWS and infrastructure experience. Youll own and evolve our Terraform foundations architect secure automated systems in an FDA-regulated environment and build CI/CD pipelines that let teams ship confidently. This is a hands-on role with real architectural influence not a ticket queue.

The ideal candidate will have:

7 years of DevOps/SRE/Platform engineering experience in an agile environment with fluency in at least one scripting or systems language (Python Ruby Go Rust etc.).
Deep hands-on Terraform expertise. Youve designed modules managed state at scaleand know where it breaks down.
Extensive experience building and supporting AWS environments (ECS EFS EC2 RDS Redshift VPC Route53 etc.).
Strong containerization and orchestration skills (Docker Kubernetes ECS/Fargate) and experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions GitLab CircleCI etc.).
Experience with monitoring tools like Datadog or New Relic.
Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.

Work Location and Hours:

This role is based out of our office in Boston MA. We operate in a hybrid model with regular in-office collaboration.
This role participates in on-call rotation that provides coverage on business days from 9:00 AM to 12:00 AM. The rotation is shared among all team members and generally occurs for 23 weeks per quarter.

Salary Range:

The anticipated base salary range for this position at Elucid is $170000-$205000. Compensation will be influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to internal pay equity job-related knowledge skills education relevant experience certifications and geography as outlined in the job description.

At Elucid we believe the best work happens in a flexible hybrid environment. Boston-area employees are encouraged to work from the office on Mondays and Wednesdays with the option to come in additional days if they prefer. Fully remote employees outside the Boston area come in as needed.
