The Facility

The Montevideo VA Clinic is a Community-Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) within the St. Cloud VA Health Care System providing primary care and mental health services to Veterans in western Minnesota. The clinic delivers accessible patient-centered care in a modern outpatient facility.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive primary care services to Veteran patients including diagnosis treatment and management of acute and chronic conditions
  • Perform patient assessments physical examinations and develop individualized care plans
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results
  • Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with established protocols
  • Coordinate patient care with specialists nursing staff and ancillary services
  • Document all patient encounters accurately and timely in the electronic health record
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and peer review activities
  • Provide patient education on disease prevention wellness and self-management
  • Ensure compliance with VA clinical practice guidelines and standard operating procedures

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine (ABIM) or Family Medicine (ABFM)
  • Active unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state
  • Active DEA registration
  • Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
  • NPI number
  • Minimum 2 years of primary care experience preferred

  • Full-Time (1 FTE available)
  • Monday Friday standard business hours
