Part of the VA Boston Healthcare System the Hyannis CBOC provides primary care and specialty services to veterans on Cape Cod and the surrounding region.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive primary care services to veteran patients in an outpatient clinic setting
Conduct patient examinations diagnose conditions and develop treatment plans
Order and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results
Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with VA formulary guidelines
Coordinate care with specialty providers and ancillary services
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and peer review activities
Provide patient education on preventive health measures and chronic disease management
Requirements
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine (ABIM) or Family Practice (ABFM)
Active full and unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state
BLS and ACLS certification
DEA registration
U.S. citizenship required
Schedule
Full-time onsite
