Job Summary
A respected healthcare organization in Central New York is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join its Primary Care team. Opportunities are available in both Oswego and Fulton NY. This full-time day-shift position offers the opportunity to provide patient-centered care in an outpatient setting while working alongside physicians advanced practice providers nurses and other members of the healthcare team.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in providing and evaluating patient care as a member of the primary care team.
- Support physicians and other providers with the delivery of high-quality patient care.
- Administer medications in accordance with established policies procedures and standards of care.
- Prepare and administer medications through appropriate routes and maintain accurate documentation.
- Observe patients for reactions to medications treatments or changes in condition and report concerns appropriately.
- Assist with patient mobility and maintain a safe comfortable clinical environment.
- Follow infection prevention aseptic technique and equipment sterilization guidelines.
- Maintain appropriate levels of clinical supplies and routinely check emergency equipment.
- Accurately document patient care and utilize electronic systems as required.
- Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients families providers and other members of the healthcare team.
Qualifications:
- Current New York State LPN license.
- Current CPR certification.
- One year of experience in a medical office or outpatient setting preferred.
- Proficiency in medication administration and phlebotomy preferred.
- Strong communication organization and patient-service skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative healthcare team.
