Press Room Operator

Van-Am Tool & Engineering is hiring Press Room Operators to join our manufacturing team in St. Joseph Missouri. This position is responsible for operating stamping press equipment loading and unloading materials inspecting parts and supporting production in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. No prior press room experience is required. We provide on-the-job training for motivated individuals who are dependable safety-focused and ready to build a career in manufacturing.

Available Shifts:

• Day Shift: MondayThursday 10-hour shifts
• Weekend Shift: FridaySunday 12-hour shifts

Starting Pay:

• $19.00$22.00 per hour depending on experience
• 11% Shift Differential for Weekend Shift

Responsibilities:

• Operate stamping press equipment according to established work instructions
• Load raw materials and unload finished parts during production runs
• Perform visual inspections to ensure quality and consistency
• Follow production instructions safety requirements and quality standards
• Package stack and move finished parts to designated locations
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Report equipment issues quality concerns or safety hazards promptly
• Support additional production activities and cross-training opportunities as needed

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous manufacturing machine operation or production experience is helpful but not required
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
