As a Powered Equipment Operator - Cut B you will safely operate powered material-handling and cut equipment to support production and fabrication activities. This role prepares and sets up work packages positions and secures materials using lifts cranes and vacuum handling systems and loads/operates shears saws and CNC programs to produce parts per work orders and drawings. The operator performs first-part checks monitors machine performance performs basic finishing and inspection using precision measuring tools handles and protects materials to prevent damage and follows all safety hazardous-materials and documentation procedures while maintaining required certifications.

Position Responsibilities:
Review CMES/work orders drawings tie-ins operator/setup documents and tooling instructions to confirm prior and following operations and prepare the work package.
Ensure the correct quantity/type of parts material tools cutters fixtures and shipping containers are present; check tools saw blades and fixtures for damage or defects.
Move lift and position heavy material tools and parts using electric stackers overhead cranes vacuum lifts or ask for assistance as needed.
Identify required setups and select appropriate cutters drills bushings/finger guides and cutting tool geometry; replace or repair worn chipped or defective tools.
Set up shapers saws shears and related machines: install cutters/blades bushings guides clamps locator pins seals and NCMIT per documents; ensure guards and safety features are attached and oil/coolant levels are correct.
Retrieve download and run CNC/N.C. programs from servers/databases to controller; set machine coordinates cutter offsets tool heights gauges stops and controller inputs per CNC or setup documents.
Load and secure parts on fixtures or work-holding devices (vacuum chucks HRF/SHF) run first part and obtain first-part checks then run remaining parts while periodically checking configuration and progress.
Calculate and sequence cuts nesting and material usage to minimize waste; record material/debit usage and return remnants to storage; order additional material via SMARTS/ERP or remnant rack as required.
Perform handwork and finishing operations: routing deburring filing grinding splices dressing guide plates removing tabs chamfering and cleaning to meet edge finish and dimensional requirements.
Use precision measuring instruments (calipers micrometers scales gauges) to check dimensions key features and part conformance after each operation and perform in-process checks for inspectors as required.
Operate hand pneumatic and floor-mounted tools (routers band saws sanders) and perform bench work to remove excess material and complete machining operations.
Fabricate or identify and build holding fixtures shop aids blocks and temporary fittings to support setups and shearing operations.
Monitor machine operation for unusual vibration noises or malfunctions; regulate machine speeds feeds air/coolant/lubricant flow; tighten/adjust equipment or contact facilities for repair as needed.
Handle protect interleaf tag wrap and transport finished and in-process parts using appropriate packaging and material-handling equipment; attach part identification tags and leave tie-ins for following shifts.
Follow safety procedures: use PPE handle and dispose of hazardous materials (coolants solvents lubricants rags) per SDS maintain personal/tool certifications and contact leads/supervisors when assistance or clarification is required.
Physical Demands and Potential Hazards:
Perform physical tasks that include lifting weights ranging from 10-15 lbs to 15-35 lbs.
Engage in various movements such as reaching handling turning twisting lifting lowering climbing balancing bending kneeling crouching and squatting.
Work in environments that may involve contact with metals solvents and coolants.
Operate in proximity to moving parts and tools sharp cutters and potential slipping hazards.
Adapt to varying noise levels and atmospheric conditions.
Utilize personal safety gear to protect face/eyes hands/arms and feet while performing job duties.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications:
Relevant experience can include academic qualifications military service or other industry-related roles.
2 years of experience working with precision measuring tools
2 years of experience using basic math (e.g. addition subtraction multiplication and division)
Ability to lift push and pull up to 35 pounds frequently within an 8 hour shift
Basic computer experience and competency
Proficiency in reading writing and speaking English
Preferred Qualifications:
1 years of experience reading understanding and interpreting basic engineering drawings and specifications
1 years of experience using hand and/or air (pneumatic) tools
1 years of experience setting up shapers saws shears and related machines
