Education/Certification:
- TCOLE Tele-communicator license required of the position.
- Telecommunications Operator License through TCOLE-training must be done within six months of the date of hire. Must re-test every two years for this course.
- Sub-Agency User Administrator or S.A.G.Y.- TLETS system designee who monitors certifications/TLETS authorities.
- TCOLE Ethics course 3925.
- TCOLE Crisis Communication Tele-communicator course 420.
- TCOLE Rules Overview for Tele-communicators course 1305.
- LSLET543-Public Safety Tele-communicator course.
- Crisis Communication course 2120.
- TCIC/NCIC Less than Full Access (CCH access).
- Group Crisis Intervention course .
- Texas DPS Introduction and overview course.
- Texas DPS TLETS Mobile Certification (Dl and Reg only) course.
- Group Crisis intervention course.
Special Knowledge Skills:
- Maintains proficiency and training requirements of a Telecommunications Operator License.
- Ability to get along with other employees and the public.
Experience:
- TCOLE Tele-communicator license required of the position.
- Must proficiently pass all TCOLE required courses and obtain license within the mandated times if candidate does not hold the TCOLE Tele-communicator license.
- Successfully pass a personal background investigation psychological evaluation medical physical drug screen and oral interview.
Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
- Willingness and/or ability to work extended shifts holidays and weekends.

- Conform to department grooming standards.
- Perform various duties assigned by the Chief of his designee.
- Attend educational sessions as required.
- Travel out of town for one day or more.
- Maintains proficiency and training requirements of a Telecommunications Operator License.
- Regular attendance at work and arrives on time.
- Ability to get along with other employees and the public.
Maintain emotional control under stress. Some district travel; occasional prolonged or irregular hours.
