Pronto Staffing is seeking a dependable machine operator for a busy night-shift production role.
Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable team member to run a plasma cutting this role you will set up and operate cutting equipment to shape parts from raw materials. You will also use simple hand tools check your parts for accuracy and help keep the production floor moving safely.
Responsibilities
Run industrial cutting equipment safely and follow all shop rules
Set up machine parts and tools based on the type of material being cut
Change out worn machine parts and tips when needed
Use basic measuring tools to check your work against drawings
Watch the machine while it runs to catch any problems or defects
Take finished parts off the machine and stack them safely for transport
Keep accurate records of your time and materials on a computer
Requirements
Ability to read and understand basic drawings
Good hand tool skills and ability to use measuring tools
Basic computer skills to enter production notes
Must speak read and understand English
Strong attendance habits and a focus on safety
Background check and drug screening may be required
Work Environment
Must be able to stand for up to 90% of the workday
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
Work takes place indoors in a facility with temperature changes (unheated and non-air conditioned areas)
Proper safety gear is required including steel-toe boots safety glasses gloves and earplugs
