Job Summary

Position Summary
The Plant Manager is responsible for the overall leadership performance and continuous improvement of a fastpaced highvolume 24/7 manufacturing facility. This role ensures uninterrupted operations across all shifts while driving safety quality delivery cost control and employee engagement. As the senior onsite leader the Plant Manager aligns plant performance with business objectives and fosters a culture of accountability urgency and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Production
  • Lead and oversee fastpaced 24/7 manufacturing operations with a focus on safety throughput and consistency
  • Ensure production plans meet customer demand delivery targets and inventory objectives
  • Balance labor materials and equipment utilization across multiple shifts
  • Drive consistent execution of standard work escalation protocols and shift handoffs
  • Rapidly identify and remove constraints in a highoutput manufacturing environment
  • Prioritize meeting deadlines
  • Work closely and collaboratively with all departments and with personnel at all levels
Safety Quality & Compliance
  • Own sitewide safety performance and regulatory compliance
  • Promote a proactive safety culture in a continuousoperation environment
  • Ensure product quality meets internal specifications and customer requirements
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for safety quality or downtime events
  • Maintain compliance with internal customer and regulatory audits
Leadership & People Development
  • Build and develop a leadership team capable of operating in a fastpaced 24/7 environment
  • Ensure strong supervision communication and engagement across all shifts
  • Establish succession plans for critical operational roles
  • Partner with HR on staffing performance management and employee relations
  • Set clear expectations while reinforcing accountability urgency and teamwork
  • Prioritize cross training and upskilling
  • Promote employee engagement
Continuous Improvement & Cost Management
  • Drive Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Improve KPIs including OEE scrap downtime labor efficiency and cost per unit
  • Lead kaizen events and structured problemsolving activities
  • Develop and manage the plant operating budget
  • Execute productivity costreduction and capacityimprovement initiatives
  • Make recommendations for enhancements and improvements related to systems personnel policies and practices.
  • Take ownership of labor costs and work to minimize overtime
Maintenance & Reliability
  • Ensure equipment reliability to support nonstop production
  • Partner with Maintenance and Engineering on preventive and predictive maintenance strategies
  • Support capital planning and equipment upgrades that improve safety and throughput
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering Operations Manufacturing or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 710 years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience
  • Proven success leading fastpaced highvolume 24/7 manufacturing operations
  • Strong understanding of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement tools
  • Demonstrated ability to drive safety quality delivery and cost results
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to administer progressive discipline and corrective action as necessary
Preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma or similar certifications
  • Experience in timesensitive or highoutput manufacturing environments
  • Experience with SAP
Working Conditions & Expectations
  • Factory environment
  • Open availability for offshift weekend and emergency support as needed
  • Frequent presence on the production floor

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision peripheral vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
