Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our school-based therapy team. Under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) the PTA will assist in implementing therapy plans providing direct services and supporting students mobility strength and functional independence in the school setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the PT in delivering therapy services and exercises to students.
- Provide direct therapy services in individual and group settings.
- Collect and document student progress under PT supervision.
- Collaborate with teachers parents and the therapy team to reinforce therapy goals in the classroom.
- Prepare therapy materials and ensure a safe environment.
- Maintain compliance with all federal state and district regulations under the direction of the PT.
Qualifications
- Associates degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Active PTA license in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain before start date).
- School-based or pediatric experience preferred but not required.
- Strong communication collaboration and organizational skills.
- Passion for helping children achieve their functional and educational goals.
