Role Descriptions:
PHP Support Engineer
Hands-on PHP engineer providing production support bug resolution and performance optimization for web applications. Acts as the technical bridge between engineering and operations - owning issue triage root cause analysis and timely fixes in live environments.
Key Responsibilities
Production Support: Monitor triage and resolve PHP application issues across production environments within defined SLAs
Aware of Web Application Development Lifecycle
Bug Fixes & Patches: Diagnose and fix defects in PHP codebases; deploy hotfixes with minimal downtime
Knowledge of tools: Splunk Tableau
Root Cause Analysis: Investigate recurring failures document findings and implement permanent solutions
Code Review & Quality: Review PHP code for bugs security vulnerabilities and performance bottlenecks
Database Support: Write and optimize SQL queries; troubleshoot database-related application issues (MySQL / PostgreSQL)
API Support: Debug and support RESTful API integrations and third-party service connections
Documentation: Maintain runbooks incident logs and known-error knowledge base
