POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible forthe Pharmacy Departments operational excellence: assures department delivers quality services in accordance with the Medical Centers mission and with applicable policies procedures and professional standards. Manages human resources to assure quality services and promote positive employee relations. Effectively communicates departmental organizational and industry information to staff. Responsible for the fiscal management of department and assures proper utilization of organizations financial resources. Supports and exemplifies the hospitals established mission vision and values.

The Director is responsible for coordinating all activities and services provided by the Pharmacy Department. These activities and services involve the procurement storage preparation distribution compounding monitoring control and dispensing of medications and supplies from the department. The individual serves as a liaison to facility nursing and the medical staff personnel. Provides a leadership role in formulating policy and instituting models that enhance the clinical and operational components of pharmacy services for BMC South.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD).
• Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of hospital pharmacy management experience or supervisor of a pharmacy operation. Must be directly related to pharmacy operations service development and -depth background of pharmacy operations system design and analysis.
• Certification/Licensure: Active MA Pharmacist License by the hire date.

Compensation Range:

$130500.00- $189500.00

This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer.
