Job Summary

Overview:
Are you an ambitious compassionate RN looking to bring your nursing excellence to a premier award-winning surgical team As a Per Diem Registered Nurse at Atlantic Surgery Center youll deliver exceptional pre-op intra-op and post-op care in our state-of-the-art outpatient facility. Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive patient care across pre-operative circulating and post-operative (PACU) phases of ophthalmic oculoplastic and corneal surgical procedures.
  • Prepare patients for surgery including pre-op assessments verifying surgical site and documentation and administering prescribed medications.
  • Serve as a circulating nurse during surgical procedures maintaining sterile fields anticipating surgeon needs and ensuring patient safety.
  • Monitor and manage patient recovery post-surgery providing post-operative instructions to patients and their escorts.
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) and ensure strict adherence to HIPAA infection control and ASC regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with surgeons anesthesiologists and clinical staff to ensure efficient high-quality patient flow and room turnover.

Facility Description:
The award-winning Atlantic Surgery Center (ASC) is a busy singleoperating room (OR) outpatient Ambulatory Surgical Center specializing in ophthalmic procedures including cataract corneal and oculoplastic surgery. Due to continued growth the center is expanding to a two-OR facility within the next year.

Education/Experience Requirements:
  • Active NJ Nursing License.
  • BLS ACLS.
  • IV skillset.
  • Ophthalmic surgical experience preferred.
