About therole.
McCain Foods is accepting applications for a Peeler Operator position to work a12-hour day/night shift at the Burley Idahoplant. Responsible for dispersing a consistent supply of quality potatoes to the trim room byoperatingthe blending systems weigh systemspre-treatingand peeling systems.Also responsible foroperatingthe pee wee equipment related to insuring proper size to IQF line
Whatyoullbe doing.
Monitors quality of incoming product and informsappropriate personnelof changes in production or quality.
Monitors andmaintainsa set line flow of potatoes toinsurethe proper blend of potatoes is achieved by varying flow from various holding bins.
Monitors andmaintainsload control steamtimeand temperature of pre-treaters.
Operates peelers to minimize product waste (peel loss) and maximize peeler efficiency.
Performs tests todeterminePeel Loss and Raw Solids and records results.
Disassembles and reassembles machinery for maintenancesanitationand change over purposes.
Performs preventative and minor maintenance on machinery
Insuresthat peeler room equipment is cleaned and sanitized asrequired/
Communicates problems or changes in production or quality to supervision and otherappropriate personnel.
Understands and adheres to the concepts and techniques of the quality processin order toassure a quality operation.
Keeps area clean and orderlyin accordance withGood Manufacturing Practices.
Promotes and adheres to company safety regulations
Accurately enters all information into the computer tracking system and completes all records and reports.

one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Benefits oftherole.
Hourly rate: $21.16 - $23.52
$1.50 shift differential for graveyard positions.

Compensation Package:$ - $ Starting at 24.34 USD hourly Bonus eligibility Hourly Pay Differential for applicable shifts
