Job Summary

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High School diploma or GED equivalent.

2. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications Outlook and departmental specific applications.

3. Minimum of three (3) years experience in payroll functions preferred.

4. Ability to communicate with diverse internal and external stakeholders.

5. Competency in areas of filing basic accounting and operation of personal computer.

244 days

SALARY/PAYGRADE:

$32367 CP4

Salary Range (based on experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Ensure the accurate compensation of substitutes utilizing established systems and processes.
  2. Review and extract payroll and leave data from the Frontline Absence Management System for all district employees.
  3. Review correct and maintain substitute payroll records using the Frontline Absence Management System and eFinance Plus.
  4. Prepare process and submit payroll adjustment reports semi-monthly.
  5. Review process and submit timesheets.
  6. Track process and ensure accuracy of long-term pay for substitute teachers and paraprofessionals.
  7. Balance and verify records to ensure accurate payroll data.
  8. Work collaboratively with campus/department substitute representatives to ensure the accurate and timely submission of substitute assignments and payroll documents as well as the accurate reporting of all district employee leave.
  9. Create and maintain the yearly calendar within the Frontline Absence Management System.
  10. Research inquiries concerning posted assignments and compensation.
  11. Respond to sub-related inquiries via phone e-mail and in person.
  12. Support district employees with inquiries regarding the use of the Frontline Absence Management System.
  13. Maintain regular communication with the districts payroll office to remain informed regarding payroll updates and changes.
  14. Work as part of a team to ensure effective operation of the substitute office.
  15. Act as a backup for various positions within the substitute department.
  16. Perform other duties as assigned by the department director or designee.
  17. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the job.
