Key Responsibilities: Assist with the accurate and timely processing of weekly bi-weekly or monthly payroll for all employees adhering to internal policies and statutory regulations (e.g. PF ESI TDS). Verify timesheets attendance records and other payroll-related data for accuracy and completeness. Support the calculation and processing of employee salaries wages bonuses and deductions. Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve employee payroll queries in a timely and professional manner. Maintain strict confidentiality of all payroll and employee information. Assist in the preparation and submission of various payroll reports and compliance documents. Support year-end payroll processing and associated tax documentation. Collaborate with the HR and Finance teams to ensure smooth payroll operations. Stay updated on relevant payroll legislation and best practices in India. Requirements: Bachelors degree in Commerce Finance Human Resources or a related field. Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrity. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Eagerness to learn and adapt to new systems and processes. Prior internship or academic project experience in accounting finance or HR is a plus. Qualifications: Knowledge of basic payroll principles and practices. Familiarity with common Indian statutory compliances like PF ESI and TDS is an advantage. Experience with payroll software (e.g. Tally SAP Payroll) is beneficial but not mandatory. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
