As a Patient Access Representative youll:
- Serve as the first point of contact for patients families and visitors delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring accurate and efficient patient registration
- Accurately register patients for Emergency Department Inpatient Outpatient Surgical and Specialty Services
- Gathernecessary data enterappropriate data into computer-Epic ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed and appropriately signed by patient in order to register and admit patient for inpatient or outpatient services.
- Verify patient demographics and insurance eligibility obtain required authorizations and signatures collect applicable payments and maintain compliance
- Provide patients with information on physicians directions to locations required pre-testing educational materials and any other items prior to service
What youll bring:
1 years of experience in medical office hospital medical call center or other customer service environment
EPIC experience highly preferred
Knowledge of health insurance concepts preferred
High school diploma or GED
Strong attention to detail with exceptional data entry accuracy
- High level of professionalism
Passion for helping others
Ability to think quickly and problem solve
Salary Range: Minimum 17.37/hour - Maximum 28.68/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
