Part Time Assistant Womens Volleyball Coach

JOB SUMMARY:

Spalding University is seeking a part time assistant Womens Volleyball Coach. This position will report directly to the head Volleyball Coach and the Director of Athletics. The assistant Volleyball Coach will coach and recruit for the program directly in line with all University Conference and NCAA guidelines. Spalding University is located downtown Louisville Kentucky and participates in the Saint Louis Intercollegiate Athletics Conference (SLIAC) as a NCAA Division III member.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Recruit and maintain a competitive womens team.
• Support academic success and the holistic growth personal growth of student-athletes.
• Graduate successful student-athletes.
• Develop practice plans evaluate films and implement competitive strategies.
• Work closely with admissions and other campus offices to recruit student-athletes
• Ability to maintain effective work relations with administration faculty staff and students.
• Plan season schedule and coordinate team travel.
• Assist with event management during non-traditional season.
• Collaborate with athletics communication to maintain the Volleyball social media accounts.
• Organize team fundraising and community service opportunities.
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of and adhere to NCAA Division III compliance rules to maintain the integrity of the program and athletic department.
• Represent Spalding University and our athletic department in an exemplary fashion.

SKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelors Degree is required
• Collegiate coaching and playing experience preferred.

INTERRELATIONS:

• Regular or daily contact with administration admissions faculty staff and students.
• Regular contact with the general public.
• Must have an appreciation and respect for diverse populations.
