Job Summary
Position: Supervisor Post Adoption Resource Center- Flint office
Status: Full-Time Exempt
Reports to: Director of Family Services
Job Summary
The Supervisor of the Post Adoption Resource Center provides leadership oversight and support to staff delivering post-adoption services to adoptive families guardians and youth. This role ensures families receive trauma-informed family-centered support designed to strengthen placement stability improve family functioning and connect families to community-based resources. The primary responsibility of the PARC Supervisor is to locate existing and develop new support services activities and resources that meet the specific needs of the client/families served.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Manages program specific assistance funds.
- Recruit and train Post Adoption Resource Specialists as vacancies arise.
- Establishes and maintains a Post Adoption Services Task Force designed to meet the needs of adoptive families in the region.
- Coordinates Post Adoption Services Task Force Meetings at least quarterly.
- Develops brochures on services provided through the Post Adoption Resource Center.
- Facilitates quarterly Trainings for adoptive families.
- Facilitates monthly support groups forums retreats or other recreational activities for adoptive families.
- Gathers program data.
- Supervises assigned staff.
- Seek opportunities to increase knowledge and take active part in training.
- Feel comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
- Completes all mandatory trainings as required by contract and Judson Center.
- Attends all scheduled meetings including supervisions program meeting clinical and all staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Human Services Social Work or any other related field.
- Minimum of 2 years experience with adoption foster care or child welfare is preferred.
- Valid Michigan Drivers License with proof of appropriate auto insurance.
- Personal experience with the child welfare system as a foster adoptive relative or kinship caregiver.
- Involvement in the local foster family community and foster family groups.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate families with whom the Foster Care Navigator works.
- Ability to travel/work statewide as necessary.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word Outlook and Excel.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to provide culturally competent services that shows sensitivity to the service populations cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.

- Position may require evening and weekend hours and travel throughout assigned regions

- Position will require travel throughout Michigan
Additional Requirements
- Ability to pass Central Registry Clearance Internet Criminal History Access Tool (ICHAT) check and National/State Sex Offender Registry check.
