Paraprofessional
Location: Dunmore PA
Schedule: Full-time M-F 8am-2:30pm Hourly position; you are only paid for the hours that you work.
Caseload: K-12 Autistic Support Multiple Disabilities and Life Skills classrooms
Additional Details: Paraprofessionals will provide services during the school calendar year and will follow the school calendar for days off holidays etc. Summers are off; ESY may be available but is not guaranteed.

What youll do as a Paraprofessional
A Paraprofessionals functions are to increase the quality of education by assisting students with instructional and non-instructional activities. Paraprofessionals are not responsible for the design direction or evaluation of the teaching/learning process. Because the Paraprofessional is assisting students regular attendance is required to fulfill the duties of this position. A Paraprofessional may be used in any instructional situation under the direct immediate supervision of a certified professional to perform those tasks specified in the job description. The role of the assistant varies according to the program assignment.

Qualifications
- High school diploma is required. An Associates degree or higher is highly preferred
- A minimum of one year of recent experience working as a Paraprofessional with children in a school setting is highly preferred
- Experience working with children with behavioral challenges and assisting with daily living skills is highly preferred
- Must be comfortable using a computer
- Must be able to complete clinical documentation to school district standards
- Current clearances (within 6 months)
