About the Role

Hello Paraprofessionals! Ampersand Therapy is hiring full-time Paraprofessional for K-12 school district in Raymore this role youll provide individualized support to students with significant support needs helping them build independence participate in classroom activities and achieve their educational goals.

This is a great opportunity for both experienced paraprofessionals and those looking to grow in special education while making a meaningful impact in students lives alongside a supportive and collaborative school team.

What Youll Do

• Provide 1:1 or small group support to students with significant support needs

• Assist students with academic activities communication and daily living skills as needed

• Implement behavior support plans and instructional strategies under the direction of the classroom team

• Support students with mobility transitions and classroom participation

• Reinforce social emotional communication and functional life skills

• Collaborate with teachers special education staff therapists and related service providers

• Help maintain a safe structured and positive learning environment

• Maintain basic documentation as needed
  

What Were Looking For

• Must have 60 college credit hours OR completed the 20 hour substitute certificate course OR have passed the ParaPathways/ParaPro assessment

• Experience working with children or individuals with significant support needs or disabilities preferred

• Compassion patience and strong communication skills

• Ability to follow individualized education and behavior support plans

• School-based or paraprofessional experience is a plus
