In this role you will have the opportunity to:
Conduct legal research to support filings investigations regulatory matters and litigation preparation.
Review statutes administrative regulations and legal journals to support attorneys with case strategy.
Investigate facts gather records and prepare summaries for attorney review.
Draft and prepare legal documents including subpoenas complaints motions responses and pretrial materials under attorney supervision.
Prepare correspondence legal memoranda and supporting documents for hearings meetings and filings.
Work with internal teams (HR Safety Operations Medical Procurement) to gather documentation and information needed for legal matters.
Support attorneys during interviews hearings depositions and internal meetings by taking organized notes and tracking follow-up items.
Assist new or junior attorneys with understanding internal workflows and document preparation procedures.
Maintain case files document repositories and legal libraries ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
Support digital recordkeeping and organization of legacy documents.
Handle sensitive information with professionalism confidentiality and discretion.
Qualifications:
We welcome candidates across a wide range of experience levels from new paralegals launching their careers to experienced professionals looking for a long-term home.
Preferred (but not required) Bachelors degree in Paralegal Studies Legal Studies Criminal Justice or a related field
Paralegal certificate or equivalent practical experience
Experience in a law firm corporate legal department government agency insurance company or regulated industry
Exposure to litigation regulatory issues compliance administrative law investigations contracts or general corporate legal work
Strong written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail with strong organizational abilities
Ability to work independently manage time and prioritize tasks
Comfort working with confidential information
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint)
Basic understanding of legal terminology processes and procedures (or a willingness to learn quickly)
