Major Tasks Responsibilities & Key AccountabilitiesPowder Coating OperationsPerform all aspects of the powder coating process including surface preparation application and curingApply powder coatings using electrostatic spray systems to ensure proper coverage adhesion and finishMonitor coating thickness consistency and quality to meet engineering and production specificationsPerform touch-ups and rework as needed to meet finish and durability standardsSurface Preparation & Material HandlingPrepare components for coating including cleaning masking staging and pre-treatmentLoad and unload parts and assemblies using manipulators conveyors cranes or forkliftsSafely handle materials to maintain workflow efficiency and prevent damageEquipment Operation & MaintenanceOperate and maintain powder coating equipment including spray guns booths and curing ovensPerform routine maintenance such as: Cleaning spray systemsMonitoring filters and air flowEnsuring equipment calibration and proper functionIdentify and troubleshoot equipment or process issues to maintain production uptimeQuality Control & InspectionInspect coated parts for finish quality coverage thickness and defectsIdentify issues such as: Poor adhesion or uneven coatingSurface contamination or missed areasReport and support resolution of non-conforming productsCollaborate with Quality and Production teams to improve first-pass yield and reduce reworkContinuous Improvement & Problem SolvingApply continuous improvement (CI) and lean manufacturing principles to optimize coating processesParticipate in root cause analysis (RCA) to eliminate recurring defectsRecommend process improvements to improve efficiency quality and cost performanceSafety & ComplianceFollow all health safety and environmental regulations including handling of powder materials and chemicalsSafely operate crane and rigging equipment as requiredWear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including respirators and protective gearMaintain compliance with OSHA and environmental standardsGeneral ResponsibilitiesPerform demasking and finishing operations using hand and pneumatic toolsMaintain a clean organized work area aligned with 5S standardsSupport additional manufacturing tasks as needed to meet production goalsOther duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent Minimum 12 years of experience in industrial automotive or manufacturing painting Experience operating material handling equipment (forklift crane or manipulators)Must pass any drug screens background checks and any pre-employment tests which will be conducted in accordance with applicable Qualifications13 years of experience in powder coating or industrial painting Experience in heavy equipment or industrial manufacturing environments Forklift certification (or ability to obtain) Experience operating coating systems curing ovens or finishing equipmentKnowledge Skills Abilities & CompetenciesStrong problem-solving and analytical to work in a high-stress -oriented and able to work approach to resolving issues impacting various groups across the to understand processes (system and non-system) troubleshoot develop and recommend working in a dynamic environment and be a self-motivated team knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word Excel PowerPoint Teams and Microsoft ConditionsManufacturing/factory environment.
