To learn more about us visit be able to prepare wood and metal surfaces for painting and paint equipment parts machinery buildings and other working areas using a spray gun brush and rollers. Other duties may be assigned.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reads work orders and receives instructions verbally.
  • Prepare the surface using methods appropriate to remove dirt oil and grease removing old paint smoothing cracks coating and filling holes.
  • Work at heights with no fear.
  • May fill cavities and dents with putty to attain a smooth surface.
  • Selects and mixes coating liquid to produce the desired color according to specifications using a paddle or mechanical mixer.
  • May erect scaffolding or set up a ladder to perform tasks above ground level.
  • Apply paint to the surface using a spray gun brush and/or roller.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required for this Position:

Education no minimum education requirements.

Experience 4 years of Journeyman level experience.

Certification/License: NCCER and a Valid Drivers License.

Work may be performed in industrial and construction environments with exposure to weather conditions temperature extremes noise dust fumes moving equipment vibration and other site-specific hazards. Employees must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and meet all customer site regulatory medical and fitness-for-duty requirements applicable to the position.

Must be able to perform all job duties while maintaining a constant commitment to safety quality and productivity expectations.
