About The Role

As an Assistant Teacher you will:

• Support the Head Teacher in creating a safe nurturing and engaging classroom environment

• Assist with implementation of a developmentally appropriate curriculum through play exploration and daily routines

• Help maintain compliance with state licensing regulations health and safety standards and ratio requirements

• Supervise children and support daily activities including meals rest time and transitions

• Build positive relationships with children families and team members

• Support classroom organization cleanliness and documentation as required

• Step into classroom coverage as needed to maintain proper ratios

• Have experience in early childhood education or a related field (preferred but not required depending on state guidelines)

• Meet or are eligible to meet state requirements for child care staff in a licensed program

• Are willing to complete required background checks and pre-service training in accordance with state regulations

• Demonstrate reliability teamwork and a positive attitude

• Have strong communication and interpersonal skills

To be considered applicants must be based in or willing to relocate to Huntsville Alabama. Candidates must also possess independent US work authorization.

Physical demands of this position include but are not limited to sitting and standing for extended periods bending at the waist reaching overhead and frequently moving or lifting children weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted.
