Job Summary
Position: 1st class Outside Machinist
Job Location: Pascagoula MS
Hutco Branch: Moss Point MS
Rate of Pay: $40.00 per hour and $147.00 per-diem for those who qualify
Description:
Installs aligns and repairs ship machinery such as propelling machinery auxiliary motors pumps ventilating equipment steering gear laundry and galley equipment working from blueprints and using hand tools calipers and micrometers lays out passage holes on bulkheads decks and other surfaces for connection such as shafting and steam lines. Align reduction gears bearing shafting propellers and rudder and steering engine assemblies.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 4 or more years experience as an outside machinist.
- Prior shipyard 4 years or more of shipyard experience as an outside machinist
- Must be able to pass drug screen (HFT) and background check.
