Hitachi Energy is looking for an Onsite Support Specialist to join the Transformers Business Solutions IT team in South Boston this hands-on position youll be the go-to resource for onsite IT supportensuring technology runs smoothly and enabling teams to stay productive and connected.
Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations procedures and guidelines.
Youll work directly with end users providing desk-side support for hardware software and collaboration tools while partnering with broader IT teams to resolve issues efficiently. This role blends technical troubleshooting with customer engagement offering variety autonomy and opportunities to continuously build your skills.

How youll make an impact
Troubleshoot IT issues requiring hands-on onsite support
Deliver and set up devices in a ready-to-use state
Provide user guidance and training on common IT tools
Manage hardware inventory and maintain accurate CMDB records
Coordinate device logistics shipping and asset movement
Support meeting room technology and shared collaboration spaces
Handle warranty cases with vendors and support third-party technicians
Perform system checks in IT spaces (temperature cabling equipment)
Your background
Formal IT qualification or completed IT apprenticeship
Minimum 2 years of professional IT support experience
Strong communication skills in English and local language
Proactive solution-oriented and able to work independently
Familiarity with tools such as ServiceNow Microsoft 365 Windows and iOS
Understanding of ITIL principles preferred
